Kosovo telecom chief escapes attack
"We found shells from a handgun and an automatic weapon," said police spokesman Agron Borovci. "The car was hit, but no one was hurt," Borovici said, adding it was “a miracle” no one was wounded in the attack. The incident came days after the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA) awarded a second mobile telephony license in Kosovo.
Reuters reports that organized crime in the area is rife and that dozens of unsolved killings since 1999 have been attributed to mafia feuds.
