Bugsy gives valuable information

The information Dejan “Bugsy” Milenković gave could soon initiate new investigations and offer information, which would make new accusations possible against members of the Zemun Gang, Večernje Novosti learned.

The bodies of several victims, which were murdered by the gang members, have never been found. Among others, the posthumous remains of Željko Mihajlović called “the Montenegrin,” but also those of so-called Šodera from Novi Sad.

According to information, there bodies were torn apart and buried in unknown locations. Bugsy pointed out several of the places where there remains could be buried.

It is interesting that Milenković also gave valuable information about the locations where the gang members got rid of different evidence, from weapons to the personal belongings of the victims. Bugsy himself participated in the elimination of these traces. One of the locations is the riverbed of the Sava, below the Ostružnica Bridge, according to Večernje Novosti.

The story that is especially interesting is about the roads of the drugs trafficking, which lead to Serbia and then continue towards Western Europe. In some cases, Milenković himself was the one who waited for these “valuable goods” and supervised their further transportation. He knows all the “links” in some chains for smuggling drugs and his testimony is irreplaceable in these investigations.

The police are largely confirming all of the information. On the other hand, in those cases where Bugsy has the status of a protected witness, the assassination of Prime Minister Zoran Đinđić and other crimes of the Zemun Gang, his information has additionally supported the charges and made the evidence stronger.

The fact that many people are nervous, some in the Prosecutor’s office, but even more people whose names Milenković mentioned, only proves more that Bugsy is an extremely valuable witness.

There was also information that someone could kill him. That is to say that the life of Milenković, who defended himself by saying that he had been blackmailed and had been made to work for Dušan Spasojević and other leaders of the gang, had been endangered on several occasions in the Central Prison before he gained the status of protected witness.

One of the prison’s guards informed the daily of this. He was receiving different threats from his former “colleagues,” and even those who were supposed to worry about his safety participated in this.

“He felt ill on several occasions,” says the daily’s source. “The doctors would say after everything that it is only stress.”

He was very nervous while he was waiting for a decision about his status to be made. He had said that he did not feel safe in the Central Prison.

According to the claims of their source, Milenković is now safe. Not even the members of the Special Witness Protection Unit have any problems with him. In addition to that, Bugsy is ready to testify publicly. However, the prosecutor could object to this suggestion because of safety reasons.
