Judge accepted bribe of 1,500 euros

Dževa Zekić testified yesterday, stating that she gave judge Ljubomir Vučković a 1,500 euro bribe.

Judge accepted bribe of 1,500 euros

Zekić has been using a silent defence until today, when she decided to testify against Vučković. She said that she had come to Vučković on two occasions to ask him about the possibilities of decreasing the seven month sentence handed out to her son Dževad Zekić.

“On the first two occasions, Vučković did not mention money, but he told me that a doctor’s confirmation of his health problems could help my son. After that he called and asked for 3,000 euros, but I gave him 1,500 because that is all I had. Vučković said that he needs the money so that he could award someone else.” Zekić said.

Vučković accused Zekić of reaching an agreement with the prosecution today in exchange for her testimony against him.
