She said at the Regional Investment Forum in Arandjelovac on Thursday that this was a part of the financial restructuring program of the public enterprise which had been divided into three enterprises, under the IMF program: Srbija Voz, Srbija Kargo and Srbija Infrastruktura.

The aim of rightsizing is to change the workforce structure, Mihajlovic said, adding that enterprise Srbija Kargo, for example, did not have enough engine drivers.

Mihajlovic expressed expectation that subsidies for Serbian Railways would be trimmed next year to RSD 11 billion.
