EUR-RSD exchange rate drops below 120

The Serbian dinar (RSD) gained by 0.1 percent against the euro (EUR) on Friday, thus setting the official middle exchange rate at RSD 119.9507 for one euro.

This is the first time after four months that the exchange rate is "below the psychological level of RSD 120" and this figure constitutes the highest value the national currency achieved since the beginning of the year, Tanjug reported.

According toy the National Bank of Serbia (NBS), it on Thursday bought EUR 10 million in order to prevent excessive daily oscillation of the exchange rate.

This setting the national currency at a level higher by one percent against the eurozone joint currency than a month ago, or by 3.4 percent lower than a year ago.

The last time the value of the dinar went below "the psychological level" of RSD 120 was November 17, 2014.
