Kirby offers additional assistance at meeting with Sertic

According to a release issued by the Serbian Ministry of Economy, Kirby expressed interest in reforms in the areas of public enterprises and tax policy, and underscored that efficiency of the judicial system needs to be upped simultaneously with improvement of the business environment.

According to the release, Kirby said that World Bank experts and USAID representatives provided assistance to the recovery of Serbia's economy and added that they intend to continue and further improve the cooperation.

Sertic expressed gratitude to Kirby and explained that the Serbian government is implementing unwavering and significant steps on the path of economic recovery, which has already been recognised by investors who expressed extensive interest in the privatisation process, the release states.

He added that the Ministry of Economy focused primarily on development projects and restoration of order into public enterprises because this constitutes a condition for the creation of a better business environment and GDP increase.
