Delta invests big in Montenegro
Delta officials held a presentation in Podgorica yesterday, which was attended by Delta President Miroslav Mišković and Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Đukanović.According to daily Vecernje Novosti, eight Maxi supermarkets will be built in Podgorica, Nikšić, Bar, Ulcinje and Bijelo Polje, and a 7,500 square metre distributive centre for fruits and vegetables will be built in Podgorica. The Delta City Montenegro shopping complex is already in the process of being built and is expected to be finished in a year’s time. The complex will include stores, restaurants, cafes, cinemas and 700 parking spaces.
Đukanović said that its achievements in the region, especially in Serbia, make Delta a very interesting partner.
“Our symbolic goals are to become members of the European Union and NATO, but our essential goals are to create democratic and economic standards that will recommend us for becoming a part of that representative society. That is why partners are necessary, and one such partner is Delta Holdings, and the Government is very happy that they have found inspiration for developing their business in Montenegro.” Đukanović said.
He added that it is especially good that Delta is a Serbian company, which will help to further increase the friendly relations between Serbia and the newly-independent Montenegro.
Đukanović is also expecting Delta to influence other Serbian companies to invest in Montenegro.
