ICJ judgment in Croatian and Serbian genocide lawsuits

On February 3, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) announced its ruling in the Application of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide case concerning Croatia's lawsuit and Serbia's counter-lawsuit.

The ICJ - the principal judicial organ of the United Nations - delivered its judgment that is final, without appeal and binding for the parties, and rejected both Croatia's claim and Serbia's counter-claim that genocide was committed during the 1991-1995 war in Croatia.
