Puzigaca landed at Belgrade's Nikola Tesla airport at about 17:00 CET accompanied by two plainclothes police officers. Seven months after his arrest, Greece responded positively to the Serbian request for the extradition of the convicted Partizan FC fan, writes the paper.

The report added that Puzigaca was arrested in September 2015 at the Athens airport on a warrant issued by Interpol. His arrest sparked a lot of attention because he was identified and arrested while wearing monastic robes. As he was arrested, he "calmly confessed to the police that his name was Dejan Puzigaca and that there was a warrant for his arrest," according to the paper.

Puzigaca was put on trial in absentia by a Serbian court, found guilty, and sentenced to 32 years in prison in the first instance. The Court of Appeals later reduced his sentence to 14 years.

Brice Taton was brutally killed on September 17, 2009, while in Belgrade to attend a football match between his home team of Toulouse and Belgrade's Partizan. Several hours before the game Taton and his friends were attacked in downtown Belgrade. The 28-year-old died in a local hospital on September 29 from severe head and chest trauma sustained in the attack.

Puzigaca was one of 14 people convicted in the case. After the appeals process, their sentences ranged from four to 15 years in prison.
