1. I can't believe how many people actually think that russia can stand up to Nato, Us alone is enough, turkey can hold off russia for several years, russians blew up a civilian plane over ukraine and it's no big deal but russian planes violate airspace, after bombing civilians and moderate rebels and all of a sudden it is a crime.
    (Momcilo Siptarovic, 1 December 2015 02:42)

Only the exceptionally stupid believe in NATO taking on Russia. If they could NATO and the US would have done it a long time ago. The Russians now operate in Syria unopposed and the US and Turkey do not fly anywhere near Russia’s zone of operation. That is how powerful the US and NATO have become.
Twenty years ago the US would have sent its 6 fleet in the South China Sea as a show of power to the Chinese over the man-made islands, but today they only send a single ship. This is not 1970 but 2015.

  3. I thought you said Turkey would apologize and regret their actions. I keep telling you Serbs, Russia is used to fighting countries that are a quarter big as Russia is.
Turkey has embarrassed russia and seems to continue doing so. .
    (Guest, 27 November 2015 16:07)

It would have been the sensible thing to apologise simply because Moscow can ruin Turkey’s economy, but I’m glad that Erogan has taken this path. Now we hear how Turkey is sad over this incident and how it regrets that it ever took place. Turkey even gave the dead Russian pilot full military honours when handing over the body.
Step by step Ankara will grovel to Moscow.
The Russian jet was flying with two Turkish jets near it and since the Russians did not count Turkey as an enemy they did not take precautions. The Turks fired from behind.
Now you have two fighters escorting every bomber and the Russians even have an exclusion zone where they will take down any jet that comes within a certain range of their aircraft. No Turkish military aircraft are flying near that area. The Russians have bombed the crap out of the Turkmans so much for Turkey embarrassing Russia.
I’d like to see Turkey try that again and see what happens LOL.

  4. It’s hard to say how the events will develop but something will become clear today when Putin and Erdogang meet or not in Paris. If their meeting is too short (- Salam aleikum - I don’t think so) then Putin will say something to the parliamentarians this week. Of course he won’t say much as undermining Turkey is to become a new strategy of Russia. Discretization of Erdogang personally will be part of this strategy. No matter what happens this week. Most likely Russia will help the Syrian Kurds in their fight against DAESH and close eyes if some of the arms appear in Turkey. By the way nobody is speaking about the combat success of the Kurds who have already cut all the communications between the DAESH troops in Syria and Iraq. It’s been 4 days that Turkish planed do not approach the border closer than 50 km because they can see that they are in the snipe as soon as they start. Yet Erdogang is a much worse rival than helpless and will less Europe and he already moved part of the 1-st army to the border region. In the week that passed since the Russian plane was brought down none of the politicians in Europe including Serbia (but traditional Milos Zeman) condemned the terrorist attack. So today many Russians recall words of Alexander III : “У России нет друзей. Они боятся нашей огромности. У нас есть только два надёжных друга: русская армия и русский флот!”

  7. It won't die off very soon, this is not the nature of the beast. Here is a good example what to expect.

Back in early 1990-s there was a young "liberal democrat" in Hungary, Viktor Orbán. His voice was very loud and he was nearly everywhere where there was some trouble. Few people predicted, he is not a democrat but a power-hungry madman. But never the less, he was the one to hold a long anti-Russian speach during the funeral of 1956 victims. Putin was probably very angry but he had no opportunity to reply.

Two and a half decades passed. Putin has very good memory.

In 2015 Orbán is a democratically elected illiberal "conservative christian". He is not "liberal democrat" anymore. Orbán often pretends to be a Putin-supporter but he still does annoy his patron with minor stabs (like re-naming the Moszkva square to Szél Kálmán square.

This year Orbán invited Putin. To everyone's surprise Putin flew with two airplanes. The first was the usual presidential airplane. The second flew in an entire detachment of Russian ceremonial military guards. Putin hold a ceremony commemorating the 1956 fallen Soviet soldiers just in middle of Budapest, in Orbán's face - and he needed that detachment. It was a huge blow to Orbán's ego and in addition he had to attend that service. His popularity dropped.

The entire hoopla with refugees started after that and well before the big wave. The fence and the refugees probably saved Orbán's butt.

Erdogan better learn from that case.

  10. Well there’s a lot of other evidence that Erdogan and the gang are in panic. They did not expect the reaction of Russia who started to prepare for a long lasting and wide range confrontation. Monetary losses are not taken into consideration and the Blue Stream seems to be the only exclusion to prevent Gazprom's reputation losses in Europe. All other contacts and forms of cooperation will be stopped in a week when the tourists are back from Turkey. Land operation in Syria became possible too.

Russia is harvesting the tragic incident with the bomber plane. Under no other circumstances we would deploy both S-400 and S-300 + medium & close range air defense systems. Also on Friday none of the NATO plane raised to the air in the area because S-400 and S-300 had been activated on Thursday. Neither Turks, nor the Yankees, nor the Jews … Because to safeguard their planes they had to inform Russia of the time, the routes, the types of planes, the echelons ect.

By the way the marine officer killed during the rescue operation of the pilot could quite have Serbian routes. His home town Novocherkassk is rather close to Slavianoserbsk. And what is more important he never let anyone to conjugate his surname that is not traditional for the Russians. They say that he had always insisted that his second name Pozinic (Позынич) was constant. Anyways he died as a hero when saving his comrade as the 1200 marines deployed in Syria have no other task but to guard the pilots.

  16. "We really attach a lot of importance to our relations with Russia. We don't want these relations to suffer harm in any way."

Funny statement by Erdogan. The relations ARE already on a very low point, not comparable to last year, and I doubt they can suffer more.

Now Putin choose to have Assad as a better friend. Some interesting fact: Not so long ago, Erdogan was good friend with Assad, too. Now he choose to be on the side of ISIS, because they fight Kurds just like Turkey does.

Seems like all those characters choose their friends under the old rule: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend"

P.S: For persons like Erdogan and Putin it seems to be a big problem to excuse for their misdeeds, no matter what consequences their action had for their countries.

  20. Erdogan also "stressed that the U.S. have documented proof that Russian companies and Islamic State are selling oil to the Syrian regime,"

Calif Erdoğan is a con artist; a manic depressive figure torn between contradictory ideas and feelings. That's why he very often has these mood swings. Sometimes pretends to be a secular liberal reformist and sometimes he is a man of god, a devout Muslim deeply resentful of the capitalists. Now he is caught lying again. Why would Russia buy oil from ISIS when she's the largest oil exporter in the world? On the other hand,it's a well documented fact that Turkey has been financing ISIL by buying its oil and also training its men. Why are they attacking the Kurds, who are fighting ISIL with good results? It's because they want ISIL to win.
Erdogan knows that Putin will not back down, and have provoked him deliberately as he's are in agreement with ISIL that a world Islamic caliphate, that can only come about after a world war, according to their islamic prophesies.

  21. I would say shooting down a Russian plane in Syria is crossing the line...

The Turkmen who killed the Russian pilot, well they died yesterday, Russia bombed them and I would say the burial of these Turkmen would be difficult because they have been blown to pieces... I guess the Turkmen crossed the line... Honestly, how stupid do you have to be recording yourself shooting at a Russian pilot which just ejected from his plane...

The Turkmen should have saved the pilot and taken him to the Russian airbase, they would have been rewarded and Russia would not bomb their area and would actually save them if they came under attack from Isis... But instead they shoot at a Russian pilot and record their criminal act, I guess Russia has had the last laugh...

Now turkey, the country which actually shot down the plane, well the same fate awaits you, just as the Turkmen have been killed, so to shall Russia strike down serveral Turkish fighter planes in retaliation for their preemptive violent attack on a Russian aircraft inside Syrian airspace... Russia has placed it S400 surface to air missile system in Syria which basically sends a message to the Turks, Syria is a no turkey fly zone...

What does erdogan do when his Air Force shot down the Russian plane? He calls 911.. He calls NATO (the police), he is so scared that he needs protection for what he has done... Erdogan was as stupid as the Turkmen, there was a line drawn and Erdogan and the Turkmen crossed it...
