Inflation in Serbia is "expected to hover around the lower bound of the target until mid-2016," Tanjug agency reported on Thursday.

"Inflation at 1.4 percent in October"

"Inflation is expected to hover around the lower bound of the target tolerance band (4 percent plus or minus 1.5 percent) until mid-2016 and trend steadily closer to the 4.0 percent target thereafter," Hinic said at the presentation of the NBS inflation report.

This is also due to a slower-than-expected rise in the prices of primary commodities, he said.

The projected year-on-year inflation was at 1.4 percent in October, Hinic said.
