Johannes Hahn has said that Serbia has taken major steps on its EU path in the past year, which brings it closer to opening the first negotiation chapters.

Key agreements have been reached in the dialogue on normalization of the Belgrade-Pristina relations, he said, adding that Serbia has been very constructive in developing regional cooperation.Hahn expressed expectation that the country would move decisively forward with reforms in judiciary, fight against corruption, organized crime.
He said that Serbia acts efficiently in the migrant crisis and has handled the unprecedented influx of refugees "relatively well."
Hahn also stressed it was "important that Serbia maintains the same level of dedication to further progress in normalization of relations with Kosovo."
