Austria's planned border fence "could cause domino effect"
The possible building of a fence on Austria's border with Slovenia could cause a domino effect, according to the Vienna daily Die Presse.

Slovenian Prime Minister Miro Cerar said his government is ready to stop the wave of refugees "by all means" if the situation worsened, added the paper.
Because of a new record number of refugees arriving there is "nervousness all over the place," the article continued, pointing out to the sharp criticism of Austria coming from the German province of Bavaria, which was for the first time joined by a member of the German government, Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere.
The Austrian Interior Ministry rejected this criticism and said that thousands of people are coming to Austria with only one goal - to reach Germany.
However, Germany is taking in fewer and fewer refugees every day - as the paper pointed out "only 50 people per hour - which is why, according to the Austrian ministry, "refugees organize themselves in order to cross the border."
Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann, in the meantime, opposes the building of a border fence, taking a stance contrary to that of some members of the Austrian government.
Faymann has reacted to Internal Affairs Johanna Mikl-Leitner's order to produce "a plan of building measures" on the border with Slovenia, which she said was "of course a fence" - and added that "each fence also has a gate."
"There will be no fences either toward Hungary or Slovenia," Faymann said in a statement to the Austrian state broadcaster ORF.
The chancellor stressed that Mikl-Leitner should say what exactly she is planning on the border with Slovenia, and clarify with Germany whether it is necessary to change anything in terms of border control.
It is clear, according to him, there will not be fewer refugees regardless of the technical means that will be used, or organizational changes, and added that anyone claiming differently was misleading the public.
Faymann remarked that in order to reduce the migrant wave - "it is necessary first of all to improve the situation in the crisis regions."
After to Mikl-Leitner's announcements, Faymann also spoke with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, who requested "a clarification."
In a telephone conversation, they "agreed that fences have no place in Europe," a statement said.
Faymann and Juncker also "agreed it is essential to as soon possible implement the decisions taken at Sunday's meeting with the Western Balkan countries, in order to prevent a humanitarian disaster in the Western Balkans."
The Albanian brigade would have us believe that 99% of Germans are delighted about Merkels "plenty of room at the inn" approach. This is pure b******s.The EU has got nothing to do with the immigration problem. This a UN problem ALONE.Let ban kin moon send 200k into his own country.

Here the Albanian brigade does not think much different than the Russian or Croatian or Hungarian brigade. We want to see only the ones who are either really in horrible need or can be used to build up the society.
At home we have enough lazy young men who sit on the fence all day long and do nothing. Why would we do need export more from Syria?
Frau Merkel made some huge mistakes, now she has to explain that our food is good for men, women, children and even dogs, too. And even local IT personal who came from Silicon Valley eat it. And that 100 Kuna is more, than zero. Even for IT folks from the Silicon Valley. Refugees should be not act like a spoiled primadonna.
And buying used clothing and electronics is done even in San Francisco.
BTW: I did see some clips about refugee camps in Turkey. I am by no means a fan of Turkey - but these camps are clean, housing is adequate and they receive few hundred Turkish Lira / month. The same time in their refugee camp shop 1 kg meat is like 5 TL.
I am sorry, this is the same story. If someone does not like few hundred TL / month or 100 Croatian Kuna / day, than going home is always an option.

Why should people worry about domino effects, building fences, getting economic aid, when it's so easy to fix. SEND THEM BACK AT ONCE. ONCE AND FOR ALL.

Leonidas, and no doubt you would want to send all of them to places like Finland, Germany, Austria and Sweden.
It doesn't depend on Greece where the immigrants go.The Eastern Europeans especially don't want these people, and nor do the migrants want Eastern Europe. If the Germans and Swedish are foolish enough to promise millions of people the good life in their countries, then they should take every last one, plus the Saudi offer of hundreds of Wahabbi mosques, and just revel in the enrichment while the rest of us re-introduce full border controls.
Most greek exports go to Turkey since YOU DON'T MANUFACTURE ANYTHING VALUABLE TO THE WESTERN MARKETS,
Turkey is a big market for Greek exports but so are other Western markets. You probably haven't visite a supermarket in Germany or UK.
Is the EU suppose to sah to Turkey that 'keep the refugees' while turks are suppose to continue buying your dxports and making your wallets fatter than they already are due to tax evadion.
What a f*****g idiotic comment. What has the immigrant problem got to do with the Greek exports to Turkey?
There should be UN and EU funded refugee cakps in Turkey and Greece where those who truly need help are selected.

The idea, in the draft summit statement, that just 120,000 selected refugees can be screened and dispersed into the rest of the EU,while the rest are sent back, is fantasy. This so-called fantasy is what has been agreed on last Sunday's meeting.More than 250000 made it to Greece in the last two months alone and 150,000 made it to Italy since June (3,500 dead on the way) – numbers which cannot be easily absorbed within the EU’s 28 nations.I wonder how many will end up in Slovakia, Croatia, Romania, Latvia etc?

You are ignorant about the way money and credit are created and so you push the line that most of the ignorant public believe, which is that there are rich countries (Germany, Austria) and poor countries (Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia) and that the rich give money to the poor.
Lesson 1: the Rich never give anything to the Poor. That is why they are Rich.
Lesson 2: the so-called “poor” countries are actually far richer than they know. They have the sovereign power to create their own currencies and to spend them in their own country. (Since Slovenia is now in the Euro it may have surrendered its sovereignty). Countries that create their own money and credit (Germany, America, UK, Japan, China) are rich because they can create money for free. All other countries have to borrow money from these countries. Do you now see the trick? Germany creates Euros for free (just typing 1,000,000 on the European Central Bank computer creates 1 million Euros). This “money” is then lent to Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and others at interest. It’s a racket and it makes the rich richer and the poor poorer.
Lesson 3: before responding to this message, do some reading and get better informed.
(Michael Thomas, 29 October 2015 13:41)
Stupid austrian liberals. I bet Balkan governments are praying on their knees for this to be csncelled. Don't fall for it. Close that border and stop sending EU subsidies, bank bailouts or any form of aid to the Balkan states. If Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia got billions from German and Austrian tax payers over the past ten years than they must show solidarity now.
