The memorandum of understanding was signed by representatives of Russia's Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation and Serbia's Defense Ministry, in the presence of the two countries' prime ministers.

According to the newspaper, the intergovernmental agreement on mutual protection of results of intellectual activity, gained through bilateral military technical cooperation, envisages rules regarding repair and modernization of military equipment which Serbia bought from Russia, only by the manufacturer, i.e., not by foreign companies.

The daily writes, referring to the same source, that a second meeting in the last few days will be held by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who is in charge of the defense industry, Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic.

The article said they "should consider a number of issues regarding cooperation in the defense industry sphere."
