Serbian currency reaches highest value against euro in 2015

The Serbia dinar (RSD) grew by 0.1 percent against the euro (EUR) on Monday, making the official medium exchange rate RSD 119.8792 for one euro.

Serbian currency reaches highest value against euro in 2015

The national currency is up by 0.4 percent against the eurozone currency compared to a month ago and 1.0 percent down compared to a year ago.

The dinar is up by 0.2 percent against the dollar, and the indicative exchange rate is RSD 107.2361.

The dinar is down by 0.4 percent against the dollar month-on-month and by 13.2 percent year-on-year.

The dinar hit its 2015 low on January 29, when one euro was worth RSD 123.57, reaching its highest rate this year on Monday, with the exchange rate at RSD 119.8792.

Since the beginning of the year, the NBS has sold EUR 130 million on the interbank foreign exchange market and purchased EUR 780 million to prevent excessive daily fluctuations of the exchange rate.
