Takahara said that terrorism was a global threat that affected all countries and they had to act preventively to prevent it from spreading.

According to a release from the Interior Ministry, Stefanovic and Takahara also touched on the security situation in Serbia and the region and the problem of increasing influx of migrants in our country.

Stefanovic said that over 66,000 migrants had expressed the intention to seek asylum in Serbia since the beginning of 2015, stressing that the migrants issue was not just Serbia's problem, but rather one that needed to be dealt with by all the EU countries.

What we need is cooperation between all states that are affected by the problem, and also support from countries that are not EU member-states, Stefanovic said.
