Kosovo's budget adopted without Serb representatives
Representatives of the Srpska (Serb) List left the session in the morning, dissatisfied with the amount of funds allocated for the majority Serb municipalities.Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanovic said that members of the Srpska List left the session because not even five percent, out of a total of EUR 1.7 billion, were allocated for the majority Serb local self-governments.
Moreover, it is very bad that there is no budget for the return of the displaced, he added.
"We will not partake in the adoption of such a budget, since it does not meet the criteria for the development of the local self-governments and the return of the displaced," Stojanovic told Tanjug.
The Srpska List has nine out of the 10 assembly members representing the Serb community in the Kosovo assembly, and aside from the deputy prime minister, it has two ministers in the government - for local self-government, and communities and return.
