1. Meanwhile in Kiev, Ukrainian PM Arseniy Yatsenyuk said that Russia "wants to start the Third World War" through what he said was "military and political occupation of eastern Ukraine."

What a parroting hypocrite. He still continues with the sickening lies masterminded by the genociding neocons and the wall street corporate fascists.Who are the real terrorists and bandits Yats? It's the current Ukranian "government" and your highly ranked American friends.Less than a week after signing a joint statement with Russia, the US and the European Union to end all violence in Ukraine your puppet regime in Kiev has decided to carry out a crackdown only against the Russian-speaking population in the East by using airplanes, the army and also armed thugs from the neo-fascist Right Sector. But as Lavrov said in his interview the other day"Its the US who runs the show in Ukraine all the way".

I have to admit though the present situation in Ukraine is very serious and the threat of an all-out war cannot be underestimated. As far as I am concerned Ukraine is just a proxy, the biggest aims are the defence of the US dollar( as in the case of Iraq & Libya) and the dissolution of Russia.I cannot see the US abandoning its wars to preserve the US $ dollar as a reserve currency and its fake superpower status. The most likely outcome is for the US/NATO/EU puppets to engage into military conflict with Russia and eventually China. The world must be prepared for such an eventuality.

  2. And in the case Russia intervenes in a military manner, in a move to "protecting Ukranian citizens" against their own government...how can they legitimate it. They'll, for sure, never get the UNSC's approval...

Would they, then, act the same way NATO perhaps did in Serbia ? what they used to criticize so much...

Welcome to the hypocrite real world Mr CHURKIN, lol !

I'm sure Clinton, Albreight, Clark & Co are listening and smiling, especially when we have look at the guys you call "peaceful civilians"...

    (Stefan, 25 April 2014 17:54)

The same way? No, NATO acted in Serbia/Kosovo after 1000s members of the ethnic minority were already killed, villages were looted, and 10.000s were driven out of their homes.
In Ukraine, it's the separatist supported by Russia who capture OSCE observers, journalists, Ukrainian soldiers and others. The Ukraine government so far abstained from major violent actions.

And the 'permission' to use force in another country, it's simply ridiculous, it's like when I ask my wife about the permission to steal my neighbors car.

  6. USA could "remember" also that it's one of the signators of the "Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances" concluded on 5 December 1994 as part of Ukraine’s denuclearization after it signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Agreement to guarantee its security and integrity after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Under the memorandum, the US, the UK and Russia pledged to respect Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and its existing borders.

  8. Zugzwang is always a sad thing.

From the humanitarian point I can see no good options for the situation here. Both sides cornered themselves and compromise seems to vanish day by day. What is already evident the current Ukraine has stopped to exist forever. From the very beginning it was an artificial unity where the components do not become closer. So the question is how to divorce. The active Nazi minority led by the USA was able to seize Kiev but failed to impose will on the Russian south-east. According to the polls the junta enjoys support of some 15-20% of the citizen including the western regions. They can rely neither on the police nor the security nor the army. All 3 refuse to kill the civilians.

So in agony the maidanized have to legalize the Nazi as national guards. But the Nazi fear the Russians and prefer to rob people in Kiev and other regions. Robbing the helpless and fighting the armed are different things. Will the elections happen or not no one knows though the US strives hard to bring Russophobe Poroshenko to power. Will Russia invade or not also no one knows. You may plan only the start of a war. After that the war will impose you it’s own will. But if so Putin will have to occupy the whole country. Stopping on Dnieper will mean an endless partisan war. So Russia will have to invade western regions too. 14-th army located in Transdniestria will enter Odessa and Zakarpatie.

  10. The new Ukrainian authorities absolutely HAVE TO back down and talk to the Eastern regions, rather than violence against them! NOBODY is going to help them if Russia intervene! Federalize the country (most of which is not theirs originally, like Galicia is Polish through and through - cities like Tarnopol and Stanisławów were built by our schlachta, so is Novorossiya Russian) and give the gifts to your country autonomy to be responsible for their own affairs and thus strengthen the new Ukraine in the process, by truly balancing out good relations between both West and Russia and finally having some kind of unity, which is what Ukraine needs first and foremost, before they can build a new country!

This is eerily similar to 1939, when Poland put all their faith in Great Britain and France, and then watched the Germans crush us in a few weeks, with them doing nothing to help us, so the new Ukrainian government is putting all their faith in the US and EU. We should have sat down with the Germans and tried to find a compromise with the Danzig corridor, then perhaps we could have avoided WWII (indeed, Sudetenland was meant to be the last step of German expansion in Czechoslovakia and yet they swallowed the whole country, but still, there was a chance of peace), so they should sit down with their separatist leaders and Russia to try and find a mutual compromise to secure true peace in this volatile time.

With their approach now, he devil is sitting in the corner and smiling.

    Leonidas,

Just curious, who will your destitute Greece support if there is a war? It appears you Greeks face a great dilemma. However, you must carefully consider which side will provide you with bread and butter. Recall, things did not work out so well for you Communists after your civil war. Where was Russia then, in your hour of need!

Well, few hundred armed people occupying police stations are not the same thing as the "Russian-speaking population in the East". Just a reminder for you that there are millions of Russian-speaking people in the East. Please don't degrade the Russian-speaking population in Est Ukraine to just a few hundred.

  15. Did the US, since 2004, spend $5 billion in a destabilization orogram aimed at the government of the Ukraine?
Did the US, as part of a covert operation, train (in Poland) finance, arm, and deploy disciplined Svoboda and Right Sector neo-nazis to provoke violence in the euro Maidan demonstrations?
Did US Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, in a phone converstation with the US Ambassador to the Ukraine say "F--- the EU" ... "We need to get our guy Yat in there", referring to the acting Prime Minister of the present Ukrainian "government" Arseni Yatsenyuk?
Was the action of the Ukranian parliament to remove the freely and fairly elected president and dissolve the standing Ukranian government an illegal act, according to the Ukranian constitution, since it did not recieve the needed majority of votes?
Is not the present government of Ukraine therefore an illegal government?
If your answere to any of the above questins is "No", then you may hold different opinions than I do about the Ukranian crisis. I agree with Russian foreign minister Larov, who stated last week “There is no reason not to believe that the Americans are running the show,”
