The policeman was admitted to the clinic on Monday evening with life threatening injuries to his head and chest.
The officer was hit by a car that he tried to stop. The vehicle was suspected of transporting drugs.
The driver of the car fled the scene and escaped in the direction of the village of Veliki Trnovac.
The Police Trade Union of Serbia issued a statement signed by the organization's president, Veljko Mijailović, expressing their deepest condolences to the family of the officer, Goran Đorđević, and added:
"In this difficult moment all of us police officers and all citizens of Serbia commiserate with your pain. It is time for the state to at last do something about the mafia hotbed in Veliki Trnovac. Crime has no borders, or nationality. If suspicions that the killer had escaped to Kosovo are confirmed, we expect the authorities of Kosovo, the police there, and EULEX to do everything in order to find, detain and deliver him to the Serbian judicial organs."
The police have caught the man who was a passenger in the car and his name is Albanian: "The police arrested today accomplice of the driver who hit policeman Goran Djurdjevic on Monday with Audi A4. As Kurir learned, the person arrested is Bajrami Resat from Veliki Trnovac."
'Bajrami Resat' is an Albanian or Turkish kind of name.

I know you think you might have a reason to hate all Serbs, but to start off a post about a dead policeman with Hahahaha is really over the top. This Drug problem is bad all around the balkans. When Narco mafia kill police with impunity it is bad for absolutely everything that walks and crawls in the region because death always follows more death in the balkans. Honest people, Serb or Albanian or whomever else do not need this problem on top of everything else.

Hahahahaha, speculations already made he is Albanian, or possibly escaped in Kosova. This is why I had to laugh, nothing to do with the dead cop. Serbians, you seriously have got to get your shi* together, the world is watching and very amused by your daily false claims and accusations on non-Serbians.
(Albanian, 23 October 2013 14:20)
Its a confirmed fact that he was albanian. He was driving towards Veliki Trnovac, the largest albanian Community in Bujanovac and he was driving a car with Swiss tables. Other than that the car was suspected to transport drugs so what else could he be than albanian?

R.I.P to the policeman.
I cannot believe that an institution of the state such as police in Serbia to rush in these judgments without first knowing who this person is.
It is enough for the police that the suspect to head for a village let it be Albanian or Serb to come in conclusion that it has to do with an ethnicity.
Good job Serbian police, now let's go and burn that village.

The coward who is responsible for this tragic lost of policeman who is doing his job should be persued all the way to albania if he or she is runing away in that direction and bought back to serbian justice, and be dealt in apropirate maner.
