PM meets with representatives of ethnic Albanians

BELGRADE Prime Minister Ivica Dacic met on Thursday in Belgrade with leaders of ethnic Albanian political parties from southern Serbia. He told them the government was trying to solve all the problems the people of the municipalities Bujanovac, Presevo and Medvedja were facing, adding that "ministers would visit the area regularly in the future and inspect the implementation of measures." It was agreed for the Albanian party leaders and state government officials to analyze the results of the measures every three months. Stankovic recalled that the government adopted seven topics for the talks with ethnic Albanians from southern Serbia, including security, economic issues, judiciary, health-care and education. The first talks should be held later this month and the talks between the minister of health and Albanian leaders will focus on health-care protection for people from Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, Stankovic said and added that 13 ministries will be included in the talks. He specified that ethnic Albanians listed the funding of the final stage of maternity hospital, specialization of doctors and similar matters as problems in the health-care sector.
