BELGRADE If Belgrade and Pristina do not reach a deal on the implementation of the Brussels agreement, Serbia will not get a date for the start of the EU negotiations. This is according Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Suzana Grubjesic. “No EU talks date if agreement is not implemented” She said on Thursday that she expected Serbian and Kosovo PMs Ivica Dacic and Hashim Thaci to reach a deal on the implementation of the Brussels agreement on May 21. “The EU’s role as a mediator is very important in order to bring the positions closer together,” Grubjesic told a press conference and added that there was a “greater understanding” between Belgrade and Kosovo Serbs after First Deputy PM Aleksandar Vucic’s visit to Kosovo. She stressed that it would probably be harder to reach an agreement on the implementation than to reach the agreement itself that was initialed on April 19. Suzana Grubjesic (Tanjug, file) Beta
