KOSOVSKA MITROVICA Two teenagers, a Serb and a Gorani, have been stabbed with a knife in the neighborhood of Bosnjacka mahala in northern Kosovska Mitrovica. A motive and perpetrators of the attack are still unknown. Two teenagers stabbed in Kosovska Mitrovica 15-year-old Serb F.Z. and 15-year-old Gorani A.S. were stabbed with a knife in their backs around 12:40 CET on Saturday. They were taken to the Health Center and they are stable. Health Center Director Milan Ivanovic told Tanjug that the two teenagers had been stabbed with the knife and that they were both in stable condition after treatment. Bosnjacka mahala is a multiethnic neighborhood in northern Kosovska Mitrovica where both Serbs and Albanians live. Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo Deputy Director Krstimir Pantic visited the two teenagers in hospital on Saturday afternoon. “The two boys, aged 15, were attacked by a group of Albanians in Bosnjacka mahala as they were riding their bikes,” Pantic told Tanjug. “This is another indicator of what Serbs can expect in an independent Kosovo in case of the implementation of the Brussels agreement,” he warned. “Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, especially those to the north, will not yield to intimidation and this will only strengthen their willingness and determination to defend what belongs to them and what will remain theirs,” Pantic underscored. “It is regrettable that ethnic Albanians are attacking children too, from behind even, as they do not have the courage to look them in the eyes,” he added. Quoting surgeon Radimir Jankovic, Pantic said that the boys had been very lucky as the blade had not cut the aorta, otherwise the consequences would have been fatal. Tanjug
