BELGRADE A session of the Serbian parliament was adjourned around 13:00 CET on Wednesday and a new session will be held tomorrow. Changes to the Law on the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) will be on the agenda of the Thursday session. Serbian parliament adjourns session Since the new session was scheduled for Thursday, the current session was adjourned. A debate on four inter-state agreements was finished today. This is the second time that the session, which started on October 23, has been adjourned. During the three-hour debate, Energy Minister Zorana Mihajlovic said, commenting on the confirmation of an agreement on guarantees for the Serbian Railways with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, that the company needed systematic change and that it represented a serious problem to the state. MPs commented that the Serbian Railways was not a credible debtor and that the loan worth EUR 95mn would be repaid from the state budget but the minister said that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development was a serious institution. Since the new session was scheduled for Thursday, the current session was adjourned. A debate on four inter-state agreements was finished today.
