Priština replaces Serbian country code with Albanian
The Kosovo assembly adopted Thursday a resolution by which the country code for Serbia - 381, will be replaced by the international code of Albania - 355.

PRISTINA The Kosovo assembly adopted Thursday a resolution by which the country code for Serbia - 381, will be replaced by the international code of Albania - 355. Albania's unique international prefix - 355 would, according to the resolution, be valid not only for fixed telephony, but also for two mobile operators with calling codes 377 and 386. The document also requests that the Kosovo government quickly initiates negotiations with the Albanian government on using the new international prefix. The document also envisages that, if agreements on using current international calling codes are still valid, they should be respected but not further extended.
