Serb returnees attacked in Kosovo

ZAC, BELGRADE Unknown perpetrators shot at houses of Serb returnees in the village of Zac near Istok on Thursday evening. One of the returnees, Veljko Komatovic, told Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) that the attackers fired at the Serb returnees’ houses while a Kosovo police patrol was there. The incident was reported to the police and the Kosovo police were there to investigate it. “While the police were investigating, shots were heard from the nearby meadows around 20:00 CET,” he added. According to the witness, the police searched the area the shots came from and KFOR troops arrived soon after. Around 13 returnee families live in the village of Zac and they are constantly attacked and intimidated.
