Race car hits crowd, kills one, injures three

One person was killed and another three were injured when race driver Branimir Simić lost control of his car and hit spectators on Mt. Tara on Sunday.

The injured persons have been taken to the Užice hospital and the Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) has unofficially learned that all three people sustained serious injuries.

The police are currently conducting the investigation at the scene and the organizers will decide afterward whether the race will be continued.

Around 50 drivers took part in the race on Mt. Tara in western Serbia.
