One of the deputy leader of the opposition DSS party, Milos Jovanovic, said late on Sunday that they offered "the only right path for Serbia". Speaking in Loznica, western Serbia, he also accused the ruling coalition of acting like the opposition in the campaign. "Ruling coalition is acting like opposition" At a news, Jovanovic noted that the country was in "a highly surreal situation" and there was "some dirty campaigning," but the political ideas and platforms, which few parties had, had fallen by the wayside. "The government is acting like they were not in power, especially the (ruling) Democratic Party - they are talking about the future, and have no results to back them up," said Jovanovic. He said Mladjan Dinkic's United Regions of Serbia (URS) was painting itself as the opposition, when they were part of the government, and the same for the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) and its leader Ivica Dacic, who until recently criticized DS leader Boris Tadic, with whom he was in power. Jovanovic said the DSS platform was based on military neutrality, meaning that Serbia "should not be and must not be a member of NATO or any other alliance," because the country could not join an alliance whose interests were directly opposed to its own. "Serbia should not be a full-fledged member of the EU," said Jovanovic, explaining the DSS was not advocating for isolation, but cooperation with the whole world, including the EU, although the EU "has not stood for economic prosperity for a long time." He believes Serbia's membership in the EU would be tied to a recognition of Kosovo as independent. DSS activists and officials are seen during the campaign (Tanjug, file) Tanjug
