Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) leader Vojislav Kostunica has called on citizens to vote for the DSS and build politically and military neutral Serbia. “This is the moment for Serbia to declare political neutrality aside from military one,” he stressed at a pre-election convention in Belgrade on Saturday. "Serbia should be politically, military neutral" He stressed that the violence that started with NATO bombing in 1999 today continued against the Serbian people in Kosovo, commenting on threats of Kosovo officials that they would use force to prevent holding of Serbian elections. “The snatching of Kosovo started in March 1999. Our response to violence is that Kosovo is an integral part of Serbia and it cannot be any different as long as we adhere to human and god’s laws,” Kostunica stressed. He believes that only politically and military neutral Serbia can defend its legitimacy and preserve Kosovo inside Serbia. The DSS stressed that Serbia did not need a guardian from Brussels to teach it how to establish relations in the Balkans. “Euro-integrations only brought harm to Serbia and Serbia should put an end to it,” he pointed out. Kostunica also believes that it would be best if Serbia and the Republic of Srpska (RS) stayed outside NATO. He noted that Serbia should not renounce the Free Trade Agreement with Russia, “that the other countries can only dream about”, for the sake of the EU integration. The DSS leader called on the citizens to give their vote to the DSS and together build free, politically, military and economically neutral Serbia that would protect its Constitution, territory and take care of its people and the economy.
