Ambassador Francois-Xavier Deniau says Serbian recipients of French government scholarships would contribute to stronger ties and help prepare Serbia for EU. You will all help Serbia join the EU more easily, that is, you will help it prepare for EU accession and presence on the global scene, the ambassador said at a ceremony organized at the French Embassy for the 41 recipients of scholarship for the next academic year. The competition was organized by the French Embassy and the French Institute in Belgrade This form of cooperation is one of the priorities of the strategic partnership and cooperation agreement signed this April by French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Serbian President Boris Tadic, said the French ambassador, pointing out it has been a priority since 2002, with over 150 longterm scholarships awarded to Serbian students in the meantime. The ambassador also welcomed representatives of Credit Agricole bank, which is financing two scholarships this year.
