  1. Maybe you're right about these riches, except the U.S. is doing the fighting and China is doing the exploiting in Afghanistan. Strange don't you think?

It is perfectly natural that the majority of the Europeans think the way you do. Past experience shapes opinion and Europe's past is filled with endless conflicts and greed. It has traditionally been a continent of backstabbing cutthroats and some corners of it still are; the Balkans (including Greece) taking the cake.

I live in the U.S. and here Realpolitik is still considered a dirty word.

  2. Joe, those Hungarians were killed by the partisan communists, not by cetnics. However, crime is a crime, does not matter who were the perpetrators. Why should I denied it? I am very much aware of the crimes committed by the Serbs even more than you.

You might be educated and made lot of money (you are not George Soros aren't you?) but you still have embedded prejudice like Yobbik guys. Education can help a bit, but if you were raised to hate Serbs it will not help much.

Please tell me one nation in world, which likes US? Albanians! But that is it. Honorary Albanian Joe!

  4. Ment

If my ideas are "funny" they are shared by 68% of people across Europe who, unlike you, think the US invasion of Iraq had nothing to do with democracy but everything to with oil.

A similar perecentage thing the Taliban had nothing to do with 9/11 and the real reason behind the US and Nato invasion was the oil pipelines from caspian sea and Afganistan's newly found riches in the form of precious metals and other commodities.

Lets not forget the Taliban were the former "freedom fighters" the US trained and financed against the soviets. Also in the 1980s Saddam was the "blue-eyed" man of the American policy makers.

You're probably one of those rare creatures who believe in US altruistic foreign policy.

  5. Greeks, are negative towards the US and Nato because of their actions around the world and their part in Greek internal affairs in the post World War period.
Remember the CIA agents Greek colonels that ruled Greece for seven years and resulted in the destruction of Cyprus?
    (Leonidas, 30 November 2010 11:36)

I don't know why my comment is confusing you once I said the same you said but "my way" (the very end)., leaving free space for you.

"Making more difficult" with a main contributions of US/NATO countries to Greek economy I wanted to say the truth., that the money is not able to obligate Greeks in any way and I know that. Greek moral values are the biggest paradox to me, complex of the most flexible and diamond hard characteristics at the same time. All that in positive way. Money can not buy Greeks. This is rough line what I was going to say.

    ========

You certainly have a funny way of looking at things.

Despite all these "monstrosities" that the U.S. committed, most Iraqis don't want the U.S. to leave anytime soon (read for yourself). Why? They're worried about security...in other words, Iraqis killing fellow Iraqis...again. I also wonder how many IRAQIS believe that Sadam's days were better than the ones today (I know that some Western idiots actually think that)

Afghanis killed Afghanis before and no one gave a damn...until the Taliban was found hosting Bin Laden and refused to give him and his fellow lunatics up.

Then Afghanistan became the West's problem. You're not going do deny this I hope.

As far as "Albanian propagandist", well, I lived some of my youth in communist Albania. Most Albanians I know wonder how the country's fate might have been, had Philby not betrayed U.S. and U.K. plans to overthrow the communist regime in the 50's. I suspect that fate would have been a whole lot brighter than it is now.

You brag about your Greek "convictions", but the truth is the anti-communist government there largely survived because of Western support, not because the commies were irrelevant.

While U.S. foreign policy has been incompetent, borderline amateurish in numerous occasions recently, at least they still try to promote democracy, you know, the form of government the Greeks invented...at the peak of their civilization.

  8. "Orders were given by Tito. I just wonder how you dont mention 1942 and Novi Sad? Poor Jobbik boy Joe."
    karamustafa

who gave the order is secondary...at least you don't deny it...it is already progress.

I waited to hear about Novi Sad. I always condemned it. But the number was less than 3,000.
As for Jobbik you are so much out of line...can you come up with something better ? The "Jobbik" people are poor fanatics, generally with little education and without jobs. They hate American Hungarians like me, who made it and made a lot of money. They also hate the USA like most nationalist Serbs. You should cinsider them as your friends.

  9. "Karamustafa" great Serbian name...
Anyway that lady must be well informed. Apparently she knows what happened to 40,000 innocent Hungarian civilians, mostly peasants in fall of 1944. According to some high estimates the number was around 80,000.
    (Joe, 30 November 2010 14:46)

According to your estimates? 40 000???
Where did you find that figures? Even hungarians estimated no more than 5000. Orders were given by Tito. I just wonder how you dont mention 1942 and Novi Sad? Poor Jobbik boy Joe.

  11. Joe, my wife (Hungarian) had the same opinion like you about "poor" suffering Albanians by watching Hungarian television and propaganda in 90. Luckily, her opinions have changed very much since she met me and after seeing what Albanians are capable of doing in UK.

We have one "friend" Hungarian women born in Serbia. She spent most of her life in Serbia, even though not able to speak Serbian. She just like you, complains about Serbs all the time. Once she commented on our daughter that she looks like a Serb (daughter blonde, blue eyes, I am very dark). Very religious woman, catholic, with embedded hatred towards Serbs just like you.

I have to say that iam surprised by the contents of your posting.

Greeks, are negative towards the US and Nato because of their actions around the world and their part in Greek internal affairs in the post World War period.
Remember the CIA agents Greek colonels that ruled Greece for seven years and resulted in the destruction of Cyprus?
Henry Kissinger can testify to that.

You insinuate that Greece depend on tourism from the US in order to help their economy. In fact the numbers of US tourists in Greece are tiny in comparison to the numbers of tourists from other European countries and Russia.

Now, if you really want to see who is realy supporting whom just have a look at the Greek armed forces and you'll see how much Greece is contributing to US economy. In fact a look at the trade balance between Greece and US will confirm that.

You're right that the vast majority of Greeks consider Serbs as their true friends. This is because we fought common enemies in the Balkan wars and we've been allies since then- not to mention the fact that both nations share common religion.

In conclusion,Greeks do not hold a grudge against ordinary American folks but they are against the intervention of the US goverment in many parts of the world.

  13. "In any case, you are an Albanian for sure, because no one else but an Albanian would be so biased towards Serbs, not even Croats or Bosnain Muslims."
    winston

I said few times on this site I have tremendous sympathy for the K-Albanians for all their suffering during the nineties. Because of them I feel like a honorary Albanian.
As for being "biased" do you think that only Croats and Bosnians suffered at the hand of Serbs? By saying this I have to add that my family is not from Vojvodina and none of my relatives ever lived there or got killed.
    (Joe, 30 November 2010 01:36)
  14. Sometimes I think, you Greeks should have been left to rot under a communist regime. Maybe you'd appreciate your luck, the U.S. and NATO more then.
    (Ment, 29 November 2010 22:47)

I think you're right at the point "you Greeks", only.

Behind Leonidas are several millions (almost all) of Greeks with a similar- in many cases much worst and more extreme opinion about US and NATO. One survey would have tragic results, no one want to do that..

Did you ever ask yourself- why?

    Let's make it more difficult:

-NATO, especially American soldiers (even after 9/11 restrictions) are spending significant amounts of money in Greece boosting local economy. (despite of that I saw the table "American soldiers - not allowed" a front of Greek cafe)

-There's NATO factor of stability between Greece and Turkey. (every day- violations)

-Rough 75% of the total number of tourists in Greece are coming from the US and NATO countries. ("the cream" of global tourism with Americans ahead known to leave the biggest tip in the world "moving" some hotel standards up to 10.000 euros per room per night)

And, and, and., you'll probably find more things related to Greek dependence on Western world, US and NATO.

Does Greeks do not wan't friends anymore?

As a Serb I can say that we never played any significant percentage in boosting Greek economy compared to upper mentioned..

But, I'm sure that 85% of Greeks, at least, consider Serbs as a true friends.

Did you ever ask yourself- why?

I can always tell you but I'm sure someone else will type back on this.

"Afghanis have been killing Afghanis.." LOL., that's just not our business- it's their home.. The only one they have.

"Indians kill Indians.." George Armstrong Custer

US and NATO we know "who's kids" you are., you bad family!

  15. It's well known that the vast majority of Iraqi civilians were killed by sectarian violence, perpetrated largely by the Sunni faction, who couldn't reconcile itself with the loss of power over the majority Shiites. It's that simple...Iraqis were mostly responsible for perpetrating butcheries against fellow Iraqis before the war, during, and after the war.

Same goes for Afghanistan. Yes, NATO has killed quite a few civilians (it happens when the foe does not wear uniforms and has a habit of hiding in villages). But guess what, Afghanis have been killing Afghanis for who knows how long because of their never ending ethnic conflicts.

Whether you agree with the wars or not, it's pretty obvious that because of the U.S. and NATO, both countries have been given a second chance at establishing a half decent form of government.

Sometimes I think, you Greeks should have been left to rot under a communist regime. Maybe you'd appreciate your luck, the U.S. and NATO more then.
    (Ment, 29 November 2010 22:47)

I wouldn't expect any different from an albanian propagandist like yourself. The invasion of Iraq and its aftermath is not the result of sectarian violence but the result of policies of torture and shoot to kill policies by the us army and its allies.

Have you forgotten the Abu Ghraib prison?Do you remember Lynndie England, the us heroine,in those pictures showing Iraqi prisoners led like dogs and sexually abused? What about the indiscriminate killings of Afgani civilians by drones falsely perceived as Taliban?

As to your jibe about the Greeks one thing for certain is, that unlike the Albanians, we have the courage of our convictions. We fought your Turkish ancestors in World War I and your Italian an German allies in world War II and we defeated them at a huge cost in human life.As to communism it was never a viable force in Greece and this is why it was defeated.

  16. Joe, I see I din't use the word, "shows". I type fast, and do not proofread. As for me being an American born Serb, you are incorrect on that count, too. As for how many languages I speak, it's more than two. Are we going to brag here now, or what? In any case, you are an Albanian for sure, because no one else but an Albanian would be so biased towards Serbs, not even Croats or Bosnain Muslims.

  18. "Joe, your use of the English language that you are not a born American."
    winson

You are correct. As 99.9% of people on this site know I am not a born American. Also English is just my third foreign language after French and German. My native language is Hungarian. I guess beside English you speak Serbian...wow 2 languages...you are one step ahead of the crowd.
Otherwise you should not breg about your English. Your sentence "your use of the English language that you are not a born American" is not correct. Next time try to include "shows" before that. This is a friendly advise to an American born Serbian-American.
    (Joe, 29 November 2010 22:36)
  19. Joe, your use of the English language that you are not a born American. But if you want to pretend you are, be my guest. But I have a feeling you would write a lot better in Albanian, or Serbian. Maybe Mark can help you learn how to copy and paste out of dictionaries.

Giving it a second thought Agim is essentially right to separate these two things strictly. The results are completely different.

The ultimate result of sex are... people, that's how they are made (usually).

But looking at Wikileaks and judging, what kind of people the politicians are... they are not "result" of sex. They are consequences of heck knows what kind of perversity. Maybe some sort of animal cruelty?

    mark

This was always the case during the whole history of mankind. Please don't get bothered if we are hated or better still ENVIED but be happy about it. It is confirmation of our primacy and dominance for the good of mankind. No other country would be so human in its overall behavior. We are guided by a sense of mission.
For us it would become very worrisome if all those people, who on this site try to attack or envy us days in and days out would suddenly fall silent. Than we would stop being NUMBER 1.

  26. From what source did you copy and paste your comment, Mark. It sounds like an academic definition of conspiracy theory, which I do not think you are. If you would have gone to the link provided by WTF, you would see he is not the only one. You, like every other Albanian poster here, blindly defends anything American, right or wrong, because of the fact they are the biggest supporters of an independent Kosovo. Your bias is very clear. But, let's see how your songs change when Mama America drops her baby.

They rule over a very funny sort of empire... The United States hasn't annexed anyone's soil since the Spanish-American War... Imperial powers order and subjects obey.
    (mark, 29 November 2010 14:33)

You don't need to annexe anybody's soil to be an empire. The US exercised the role of the empire after World War II through its reserve currency and the military. There are more than 1000 US military installations in 156 countries and their purpose is to unleash war against all those who oppose US hegemony.

The main elements of the US world domination -empire-are related to the control of the world economy and its financial markets and taking over of all
    natural resources.

The wars in Iraq and Afganistan were not about liberty, democracy and human rights. Were they?

By now, Jullian Assange deserve anyones patience. By now he was OK and there's a few million logs to come.

Identifying the United States as an empire by its international behavior is controversial. Those Americans who wish to see their nation as a positive influence on the world strongly resist accusations of behaving in an imperialistic manner, and suggest that effects labelled cultural imperialism occur without overt government policy.

With the exception of the purchase of Alaska from Russia in 1867, American territory had remained fixed since 1848. In 1902 American troops left Cuba... The US spying on the UN and it's allies -as they have been doing since WWII?Back in 2004 the UN secretary Koffi Annan made a statement that his offices were bagged by the US and the british.

Naming Saudi officials as world'd financial sponsors of international jihad.Surprised?

Power struggle between Iran and Saudi Arabia? We've said before that the next war in the middle east could well be between Iranian Shias against Saudi Sunnis for islamic domination.

Being contemptuous of the brits for surrendering in Basra Iraq is being reported many times in the past.

US being afraid of the imminent collapse of pakistan and the possibility that its nuclear weapons falling into the wrong hands? No brainer here.

The truth is the US is an empire, albeit a dying one, with imperial interests. If we accept that then control over its "allies" is paramount.International resistance against US imperialism is the only thing that can put an end to those activities.
