Serbian President Boris Tadic has congratulated Passover to all Jews of Serbia and Jewish Community Chief Rabbi Isak Asijel. “I sincerely wish that you celebrate the Spring Festival in peace, in the circle of your families, friends and neighbors,“ the president wrote. Presidents congratulates Passover The Jewish people are celebrating Passover tonight – marking a historical holiday commemorating the salvation from slavery in Egypt. The holiday is also called the Spring Festival, or the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Passover has been celebrated for more than 3,000 years and it is considered to be the oldest holiday. It is celebrated for eight days.
