Former Vlasenica territorial defense commander Ferid Hodzic has been freed of all charges of war crimes against Serb civilians and prisoners of war in 1992-93. The trial chamber yesterday found Hodzic not guilty of war crimes allegedly committed in Cerska, in the municipality of Vlasenica, in 1992-93. Ex- Bosniak commander freed of war crimes charges Presiding Judge Tihomir Lukes said that the prosecution had been unable to successfully prove the commander’s responsibility for these crimes. The court ruled that a concentration camp called “Stala” had been operating between April 1992 and January 1993, in which at least six Serbs had been imprisoned, two of whom were a young boy and women. According to Judge Lukes, the prosecution had not given any evidence that Hodzic had ordered these people’s detention.

According to Judge Lukes, the prosecution had not given any evidence that Hodžić had ordered these people’s detention.
