THE HAGUE -- Former Republic of Serb Krajina President Milan Martić has been transferred from the Hague Tribunal to Estonia, where he is due to serve a 35-year prison term.

According to a statement from the tribunal, the former RSK president was found guilty of a joint criminal enterprise, whose goal was the creation of an ethnically pure, Serb territory, through the violent deportation of the non-Serb population that inhabited the regions under his control.

Martić was also convicted of war crimes in the villages of Hrvatska Dubica, Baćin, Saborsko, Lipovača and elsewhere, as well as of attacks on Zagreb on May 2 and 3, 1995, the statement adds.
