Funeral held for crash pilot

Serbian Army (VS) pilot Lt. Col. Istvan Kanas was buried today near his hometown of Zrenjanin, Vojvodina. He was laid to rest with full military honors. Funeral held for crash pilot Along with family and friends, the funeral was attended by Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac, Air Force and Air-Defense Commander Maj. Gen. Dragan Katanic and VS Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Zdravko Ponos. Officials of the Montenegrin military as well as many colleague, pilots, flying instructors and his students attended the funeral as well. Kanas was killed in a crash of the Supergaleb G-4 aircraft, which went down at the Batajnica Airport on September 24, during a practice for an air show which was scheduled to be held in Belgrade this weekend. The cause of the crash is still unknown.

Along with family and friends, the funeral was attended by Defense Minister Dragan Šutanovac, Air Force and Air-Defense Commander Maj. Gen. Dragan Katanić and VS Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Zdravko Ponoš.

Officials of the Montenegrin military as well as many colleague, pilots, flying instructors and his students attended the funeral as well.
