PM Mirko Cvetkovic will attend an informal meeting of South-East European heads of government in Salzburg today. It will be his visit abroad in the capacity of prime minister. The office of the host, Guzenbauer, stated that the fact that Cvetkovic had selected this occasion as his first state visit abroad was a “sign of the special significance of this meeting in Salzburg, and the close relations between the two countries.” The new prime minister’s visit to Vienna is receiving considerable attention since, it is said, the new government’s arrest of Hague fugitive Radovan Karadzic and the decision to return its ambassadors to EU countries have clearly shown a change of course towards greater and more developed integration in the world. This is the seventh such rally in Salzburg.
