Swedish FM: Hague cooperation crucial Otherwise, the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) signed in May, will not come into force, due to decisions and positions of some European countries and the EU. Bildt also said that he "did not see any controversy" in the announced new cabinet in Serbia, where former President Slobodan Milosevic's Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) looks set to join ranks with the pro-EU Democratic Party (DS) led coalition. The Swedish diplomat said that the SPS nowadays "is not the same party that it used to be when it was led by Milosevic, because people and the party manifesto" had changed since. "It’s a good thing if the SPS wants to support the pro-European orientation of Serbia. It is up to them to show that change has taken place, that they cannot be tied to the times of Serbia’s isolation and problems, and that they want to see Serbia integrated in Europe,” Bildt said.
