The Election Commission, RIK, has registered nine candidates for the coming presidential elections. The list of registered candidates includes Tomislav Nikolic (Serb Radical Party), Cedomir Jovanovic (Liberal Democratic Party), Boris Tadic (Democratic Party), Milutin Mrkonjic (Socialist Party of Serbia) and Milanka Karic (“Power of Serbia” Movement - Bogoljub Karic). Nine candidates in presidential election Other candidates from smaller parties include Istvan Pastor (Hungarian Coalition), Jugoslav Dobricanin (Reformist Party from Nis), Marijan Risticevic (National Villagers Party) and Velimir Ilic (New Serbia). Candidates have until January 4 to back out of the elections, after which the Election Commission will confirm the list of candidates. Other candidates from smaller parties include Ištvan Pastor (Hungarian Coalition), Jugoslav Dobričanin (Reformist Party from Niš), Marijan Rističević (National Villagers Party) and Velimir Ilić (New Serbia).

Candidates have until January 4 to back out of the elections, after which the Election Commission will confirm the list of candidates.
