Supreme Court rejects minister's motion in Pahomije case “The Supreme Court has rejected the minister’s motion for those who allowed the case to expire to be sanctioned,” said lawyer Aleksandar Stojkovic. He said that the news had not surprised him given the state of Serbian justice. “Of course it didn’t surprise me. On the contrary, it would have surprised me had the judges been penalized. In fact, I expected the Supeme Court to reward them for what they’d done,“ said Stojkovic, adding that “this decision perfectly reflects the justice system.“ The justice minister filed his motion for Randjelovic’s dismissal on November 13, and, at the same time, sent a document to the Supreme Court’s Supervisory Committee, citing facts that pointed to unprofessional work on the judge’s part, as well as a memorandum to the public prosecutor regarding his conduct in the matter.
