1. Serbian government persacuting people that fought to preserve the Serbian people. Soon Serbia will be just like the US and will have its' jails full.

  2. Once again the same thing. Only going after the Serbs since the war was one sided and only Serbs killed. Come on. I don't see the Croats and the Muslims looking for the people that killed and tortured Serbs

  3. I'd like to know the names of the alleged "civilians". Are they all men or are there women among them, and what are the ages.

I suspect some of the claims of killing civilians were actually soldiers or paramilitary who died in skirmishes and fighting and that includes accidentally walking or fleeing onto mine-strewn territory.

The Russians tricked the Chechens fighters back in early 2000 to flee along a way which the Chechens didn't know was mined, and in this way they lost a lot of fighters. After this the fighting did decrease.

Just because people died from mines doesn't mean they were forced to walk there - it could mean a group of fighters ran onto it.

This piece also doesn't say whether Croat fighters were known to be in Lovas and initiate attacks from there.

  4. Ida, don't try to find a good reason to explain the massacre of 17 civilians, there are none. If they were caught by Serb troops, their duty was to arrest them as POW, not kill them because they thought that the will possibly attack their troops. Don't you finf your reasoning a bit gruesome?

  5. Hi Ida,

It is Idamark, your conscience again.

Stop trying to plant fruitless seeds of doubt in the minds of these intelligent B92 readers.

You need to promote reconciliation, not revisionism.

You need to be a proponent of peace, and not fan the flames of mutual distrust and antagonism.

Your actions are reminicent of nazi apologists - people who claim the Holocaust never happened, or at least exuse it for one reason or another.

These arrests are a start - albeit a belated one - but it is a start. And I encourage the courageous people within the Serbian government to continue pursuing them. It is the right thing to do.

God bless all well-minded Serbs, wherever you are!

  6. Idamark, I don't know your nationality, but I agree completely with you. It is because of radical and revisionist Serbs like Ida, Matthew, and a few others on this board and in Serbia, that the Serbian image is negative in the world, and reconciliation is so difficult.

  8. And do you have the names of those massacred in Omarska, Brcko, Keraterm, Trnopolje, and the 200 men killed on Mount Vlasic by Darko Mrdja, and the 20 000 Muslim women raped by Serb soldiers and paramilitaries?
