New information in Ćuruvija case?

Special Prosecutor Slobodan Radovanović is soon expected to name the suspects in the murder of the editor-in-chief of daily Telegraf and Evropljanin, and process the case.

If he is unable to do this, the prosecutor will open up the case to the Serbian public and publish all of the facts and investigations, including why and because of whom the case could not be processed, the Special Prosecutor’s Office has stated.

It has been seven years since the murder of Slavko Ćuruvija. His brother Jovo has stated on several occasions that the case remains unsolved because of the lack of political will in Serbia to find the murders, pointing to the fact that the archives and files of the security services have never been opened.

The Internal Affairs Ministry’s General Inspectorate, which controls the work of the police, recently stated that the police have renewed investigations into several investigations of murders which occurred during the reign of the regime of Slobodan Milošević. The results of the investigations were never published.
