Serbia’s first business park nearing completion

The “city within a city,” which is what its creators are calling it, will enable businesspeople in Serbia to have everything they need for making deals and working located in one place.

The Israeli companies Africa-Israel and Tadher have invested 20 million euros in the project already and are opening a new construction site to continue works. The Israeli companies decided to build in Belgrade regardless of the fact that Serbia has yet to regulate the rights of foreigners to own land on its territory.

“We believe that Serbia is a country in transition, and there are always existing business risks in countries of transition. We also believe that whoever arrives first in a country has a good chance of being awarded in a business sense. That is why we are ready to take that risk.” Gili Dekel of Airport City Belgrade said.

The location in New Belgrade was chosen because of its closeness to the major highway and the international airport. As of now, 20,000 square metres have been built, and when the business park is finished, there will be a category A business complex of 126,000 square metres located where an airport once stood.

“We have an excellent agreement with which the nation of Israel guarantees all investors that their investments in Serbia will be secure and that is why many investors have come.” Serbian Capital Investments Minister Velimir Ilić said.
