Serbia must lower inflation rate
“Restrictive fiscal spending must be implemented in the coming period, alone with further restrictions where needed. The NBS will follow the situation, and especially in the segments of foreign banking debts and credit activity, continue its restrictive monetary policies and be ready to react with additional measures.” a statement from the NBS reads.The NBS stated that the May inflation rate of 1.6 per cent was expected, and was the direct result of price rises in May for fuel derivates, phone services and the higher, seasonal level of the prices of agricultural products.
