Brazil too strong for Serbia!

The five-time world champion deservedly reached the triumph over our selection, scoring goals in the second half.

Both goals were scored by Richarlison, first in the 52nd and then in the 73rd minute, which was particularly beautiful - acrobatic goal.

"Karioka" still had a handful of chances, they hit the post, the crossbar, while Serbia, except for a few situations after corners, did not threaten Alisson Becker.

Serbia will play its next match on Monday against Cameroon (11:00 a.m.), which lost to Switzerland (1:0) earlier today. "Rossocrociati" will play against Brazil (17:00).

Selector Dragan Stojković Piksi decided on a relatively expected lineup, and the only surprise was that Aleksandar Mitrović, who has been recovering from a foot injury for weeks, was in the starting line-up.

"I couldn't recognize our team"

At the press conference, our national coach constantly emphasized that Serbia was an equal rival to Brazil in the first half, but he admitted that our game was "shattered" in the second half.

"We were in an equal position for the first 45 minutes, I didn't see that they were so dominant. What was devastating for us was the second half, where we physically fell completely. In a physical sense, we were no longer a team, and of course Brazil knows to take advantage of that, because it has great players and they will punish you for it," Pixie said.

He revealed one factor for the defeat. "What happened tonight, for me, the surprise factor was the physical factor, where I couldn't recognize my team, our team. We totally failed in the physical sense. You know that we came to Qatar with a lot of problems. We have a lot of injuries and that in bad moment. These are injuries to players who are the mainstays of our national team. Unfortunately, that's how it is and we have to accept that fact. It's too much that you don't have 100 percent ready players in the team."

Foreign journalists asked Piksi if he sees Brazil as the main favorite to win the World Cup.

"One of the favourites, for sure".

The same journalists wondered if Serbia was bothered, as they stated, by the atmosphere in which Brazil felt as if they were playing at home.

"The atmosphere was great, there were a lot of Serbian fans and it was really nice to be in this stadium tonight," Piksi snapped back routinely.
