Syla told RTV Dukagjini that Kosovo, the United States, Croatia, Turkey and several other countries are among the biggest partners for the purchase of weapons, the Kosovo online portal reported.

"We are preparing for defense after arming from Serbia. Given the current threats from Serbia, we are armed with adequate weapons, according to the situation. We will respond with adequate weapons that the situation requires. We do not buy offensive weapons, but we work day and night to protect our territory and population" , Syla pointed out.

Syla said that the Ministry of Defense follows the policy of the United States of America, which has the practice of arming itself.

"We were careful to conclude arms deals only with states, not with private companies. The relevant state monitored the sale of weapons to Kosovo," Syla concluded.

Deputy Minister of Defense said that 52 million euros were planned for the purchase of weapons this year, and added that he also had advisers from the United States, in order to respond to the situation.
