"Western countries found strange way to congratulate Serbs"

Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director Marko Djuric thinks the "Quint's" statement was as "a strange way to congratulate on a clean and convincing victory."

"Western countries found strange way to congratulate Serbs"

"In these elections as well, Serbs have unequivocally confirmed that they want a policy of working with Belgrade," Djuric wrote on Facebook late on Monday.

"Such results may not appeal to everyone, but that's democracy. Whereas anger and rage are not exactly a reflection of diplomacy. The only ones intimidating Serbs in Kosovo are the extremists from Pristina. However, the Quint diplomats most often close their eyes before that. For how long must we put up with these double standards?!," asked Djuric.

Earlier, the embassies of the Quint countries said in a joint statement that the electoral process in the four municipalities in the north of Kosovo passed in a calm atmosphere, recalling, however, that there were still outstanding issues, that also accompanied the election process in 2017.

The statement referred to the EU observer mission (EOM) from 2017, that expressed "serious concern" over intimidation in many areas where Kosovo Serbs live, in particular, against those political parties that stood against the Serb List.
