  2. Armand....to finish from my last point...you say Albanians have been calling for independence well before the start of the troubles in the early '90s. That is true. So, the KLA was planned and financed well before the Serbian forces went in. You have to admit the KLA started the conflict. They then played the victim. But good lobbying and paying the likes of Bob Dole got Albanians support. The point is that this was planned decades ago, to rip Kosovo from Serbia, right? And now we see Albanians blame Serbia for starting a war..!?? Smoke and mirrors sprinkled with lies such as Racak (which the Hague will not touch because it was a hoax and set up). As for US policies of invasions, war, etc around the world you say its a force for good? Thats amazing. Please dont say that to Iraqis, Libyans, Afghans, most of central and S Americas, Vietnamese, etc, etc.

  3. Armand....you are right about the crimes committed by BOTH sides. I have said many times that a lot of Serbs deserve to be in jails now. However the other sides criminals appear to walk free. Operation storm in '95....nobody is guilty of this? Amazing. Nesar Oric walk free after murdering a few thousand civilians. How come? Many other examples but you get the point. Have not heard any Croat or Albanian or Bosnian muslim condemn these crimes. How come? It appears very one sided.
As for the US power I have to say you seriously underestimate Russia. 5% of US power?? The US will not go against Russia as we have seen in Syria, Ukraine and now Venezuela. Hell the Yanks wont take on N Korea due to them having nukes...
As for Trepca, yes its worth a lot. Is that the reason Americans got involved? You see, I think the US dont give a toss Serbs or Albanians. As for the future it looks bleak. I can not see Serbia recognising Kosovo. They have too much support around the world, and some big players amongst them. It could go to war again and I do not think the big forces will get involved. They wont risk a mega conflict for the sake of Serbs or Albanians. It could be just the Albanians and Serbs fighting it out.

I am not talking about USA or NATO. Your strong counter-argument should be probably something like:

"yes, but Arkan's money was also sourced from illegal gambling / prostitution / drugs / robberies".

That would be correct - but his "cause" pretty much died with him. Unfortunately that money is still all over Balkans.

I wonder, maybe some part of it is even shared with KLA.

After all, criminals do understand very well each other.

Every country and every military organization did a few evil things.

I was talking not about NATO / USA / Russia / Croatia (you name them) - but about suitcases full of D-Mark smuggled to Pristina by our usual suspects.

That money was "made" by illegal gambling, prostitution and drugs, by the very same usual suspects. And that was the money which created the KLA.

There is no judicial proof of course. But the entire Serbian community and a huge part of Albanian community believes, this is the truth.

Even if that would be incorrect, such accusations should encourage the involved "politicians" to retire voluntarily, in peace.

And we are back to the square one: if you finance your independence and freedom with such money, only corruption and even more crime will grow.

You can bring that argument up for Croatia as well since the wars in the Balkans were all a domino effect. My opinion is that the Independence of Kosovo was only a matter of time once Yugoslavia started falling apart. Heck if you know the history. Protests started in Prishtina way before anything popped off in Slovenia and that the Albanians wanted independence. Now to say that the Independence was financed by terrorist organizations(NATO/U.S) is not correct in my opinion. I do not see NATO/U.S as a terrorist organization. Because while it might not be perfect the U.S has done far more good then bad when you weight it out.

Now as far as being another armed conflict in the Balkans. I personally do not think that will happen. The U.S is involved and heavily invested in Kosovo. I am 100% aware they have their interests as any country does. Trepqa being one of them. Because when it is privatized i can assure you 100% that it will be a U.S company who gets the bid. Trepca has a value of 2 trillion dollars of minerals and the U.S will will for sure go to war for 2 trillion dollars we all know that. And we both are aware that if it came to a armed conflict Russia isnt even 5% of the capability of the U.S. There is too many factors to list here on how this would play out. But if Serbia and Russia thought that they could take Kosovo back through means of war i think they would have already done it.

I think what we should talk about is the displacement of Serbs in Kosovo after the war where their homes were taken and such as well as Albanians who deserve justice for their family being murdered and their homes being burned down. I think they deserve justice for that. In my opinion until Serbia accepts the Independence of Kosovo and both sides agree to work with eachother none of those vicitms will ever get justice.

  10. I think these are fair points. But what about all the houses and land that Serbian citizens have lost to Albanian occupation? When will the common people receive justice?
    (Jeremiah, 16 May 2019 13:48)

You have to understand during the war many people lost homes on both sides. Albanians can bring up how many of their homes were burnt down by the Serb Military. These things will take a long time till they get resolved with the courts in both countries refusing to work with eachother to try to figure who got expelled from their homes and who needs to be paid for their home being burnt down. It is a very complex issue. Now we can agree to disagree and thats fine. But the frozen conflict you have going on right now is bad for both sides and victims from both sides. My opinion is until Serbia accepts the Independence of Kosovo no Serb will be able to get justice if they were wrongfully pushed out their homes and such. You need cooperation from both sides to make this work. Until then you will have these issues.

  11. Firstly lets be clear there is corruption everywhere...US supports Kosovo but China and Russia do not. Stalemate. Will Kosovo ever be a recognised country, not really sure. The US has a history of turning against the people they once supported. For sure the US can not make Russia & China recognise Kosovo. This will either stay a frozen conflict for a very long time, or there will be another armed conflict. I suspect it will only involve Albanians and Serbs, as the US will not go to arms and face Russia. Also the other way, Russia will not attack US forces for Serbia.
    Ye, its a mess.
    (VIEW FROM UK, 16 May 2019 14:07)

If corruption is everywhere then US support for Kosovo means that the US supports corruption. Since the same logic applies to China and Russia, therefore Chinese and Russian support for Serbia means Russia and China support corruption. Therefore, it is difficult to see how the US could be the most terrible country in the world (as has been your primary thesis since you began posting here), considering that they all are in the same boat. (Not that I agree but this is your logic.)

Perhaps this is where your "But some are over the top" qualification comes into play. I would say the murder of millions of helpless souls by Soviet and Chinese dictators would easily qualify. Although the Kosovo situation is irritating and frustrating, I don't think it can be compared to the ruthless killing of millions of helpless souls.

Thanks for probably the first very serious and honest Albanian opinion since years.

Obviously I do not agree with you 100% this time. 50% is probably enough for the start.

#1: Haradinaj is formally not a war criminal - but the large part of Albanian and the entire Serbian community believes, he is.
In such case a man of honor would quietly resign (under a condition that his past is being forgotten).

This is what I believe he should do. He did not.

The most horrible fate of such people (see Mira Markovic!) is to live under a quasi-house-arrest in Moscow, on the same street where some savage ex-dictators of minor African countries do.

This is the future I wish for Haradinaj. May Mira Markovic be his long-time neighbor, for the rest of their hopefully long life.

#2: Absolutely agree, but Saudi Arabia is even worse. Radical clerics (of any religion) have nothing to do with the religion. By the way, U.K., with their clerics from Pakistan is far worse than Kosovo. I have no connection to U.K. anymore and they are maybe out of EU soon (who knows?) - so it is not the problem #1. But still a problem.

#3: If you want to be independent - be my guest. If Pristina does not want to listen to Belgrade - be my guest. The problem is, that the K-Albanian nationalist agenda was financed by organized crime.
As long as Albanians do not clean up their own crime and corruption - not much sympathy from Serbia or Russia.

Dude seriously, it's 2019, not 1999. All of Serbia's war criminals are either convicted, sentenced, serving, or have served. It's Kosovo* that the Ancillary US Ambassador to Serbia in the Pristina Office was referring to because only in Europe's Youngest Democracy can one find democratically elected war criminals who have escaped justice by murdering, threatening, or simply bribing their way to multiple mistrials. Everyone in Europe knows this, which is why no civilized state wants to grant you people visa-free access.

If you were referring to Kyle Scott's criticism of General Lazarevic, now there was a man who "served" his time. Albanians have yet TO serve time and do everything they can to scuttle the KLA War Crimes Tribunal in the Hague. They'll tear gas parliament; they'll deflect attention though boycotts and taxation rates that hurt their own people; Hell, the Albanian war criminals will even call for the establishment of a war crimes tribunal for Serbs in Pristina. And if all else fails, they'll scurry under America's skirt hoping for protection and diplomatic immunity.

Common facts, bro. Get your trolling up a few notches. Your comment is amateur work at best :)

  44. I mean Serbs are not innocent if it either. A lot of them have false diplomas bought upon eBay, and tneybahbe transformed them into their own credentials and resume, and Everyon bought into it. See we're all similar in one way or another.

    Peace! Serbia 2. Kosovo 0

  45. The US "qualified" the whole cabal when they had the CIA train up and created the terrorist mafiocracy that they and their NATO warmonger partners waged illegal war against FRY (Serbia and Montenegro) 1999 and have since occupied and flagrantly flaunted international laws. Their Muppet/puppets Haradinaj/Thaci and the rest of their mobsters lack any credibility beyond US failed foreign policy.

It's a pack of cards collapsing in on itself, US unipolar world idea of western "democracy" BS has ceased to be and becoming evident all the more.

Now what they do with the puppets is going to be a huge headache for US, what is clear is the still born, Frankenstein, so called non entity is lost!

  46. This statement is funny. What means in Kosovo or Albania a proper qualification? Such a qualification would disturb the social feeling. You can buy all relevant papers there. More important would be a basic understanding how a state administration works without giviving positions to relatives and friends. But the US knew all this before 1998/99. So the crocodile tears are useless. It is now how it is. What is a bank robbery against founding a bank, or better a central bank and a government. This was realized in Prishtina, in Tirana years before.
