The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia should have been shut down a long time ago, because it proved its bias.

Lavrov says Haradinaj got away with war crimes

"The Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY, Hague Tribunal) continues to work, although it should have been shut down long since. It has proven its bias and unilateralism. In my opinion, some 80 percent of cases there had been launched against Serbs," Lavrov said.

He added that cases against members of other nationalities often collapsed. As an example, he mentioned the current Prime Minister of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj.

"He was a war criminal, but he was set free. All the summoned witnesses either went missing or refused to testify," Lavrov explained.
