In 2015, a total of 170 violations committed by diplomatic and consular missions in Serbia had been discovered, 156 in 2016, and 78 this year, said a MUP statement.

"The vehicles of the embassy of Ukraine have committed four violations during 2015," the statement added.

It is also emphasized that the Law on Traffic Safety in Serbia is being consistently and equally applied toward our citizens and foreigners - and persons from diplomatic and consular missions.

"We will not allow anyone to endanger the safety of our children," the MUP statement said.

Earlier, the N1 broadcaster reported that Ukrainian Ambassador Oleksandr Aleksandrovych attended a conference on the citizens' opinion on the police organized by the Belgrade Center for Security Policy, and said that the police "do not stop and not punish diplomatic vehicles that make violations."
