The EU is made up of Germany, Holland, Spain, France and up until last year Great Britain, among other countries. Combined,these countries colonized a good portion of the globe at one time or another. The histories of these nations that are rooted in taking other people's land for their own gain. They couldn't care less about the indigenous people of the Balkans or anywhere else for that matter. Go learn history before spouting ridiculous, uneducated and inaccurate comments.

Territories do not increase because the second poorest territory of the region wants to merge with the first poorest territory of the region.
I know of no instance in the history of the world where something like this ever happened and the 5 points above were not met.

Territories do not increase when territory A merges with territory B, because that's a law a physics. The size of territory(A) + the size of territory (B) = size of territory(A+B) always, regardless of your other 4 points or how poor or rich those territories are. The laws of physics can never be broken :)

Serbia has kept Kosovo from EU processes for too long and is wasting precious years of everyone's time. If the EU wants to waste more time and is not ready to slap Serbia into reality and force them recognize Kosovo, then Kosovo will join Albania and apply for EU together as a package. Does not seem the EU is ready to expand anymore, so this unification won't make a difference to anyone.

Territories increase when larger powers agree to it.
Territories increase when other countries of the region support it.
Territories increase when a military is strong enough to defend the new borders.
Territories increase when an economy is strong enough to support the new borders.
Territories do not increase because the second poorest territory of the region wants to merge with the first poorest territory of the region.

Does anyone else see the irony of the situation.
In the 1990's Serbia wanted all Serbs from the occupied areas of Croatia and BiH to join with Serbia into one big country for Serbs, everyone was waving Serbian flags in support of it since it was a Serbian right for all Serbs to live in one country.
Now 25 years later how things have changed when you start to get a taste of your own medicine.

No one condemned Rama in any way, shape, or form . Fact of the matter is EU leaders know it too.
Although Serbs will bark every now and then just to be heard and let others know they're still al8ve some where.
Other than that, EU has no problem with it, and there isn't much they can do. Kosovo and Albania are practically united. Artificial borders, that's all there is to it.
