Ambassadors recalled for political reasons, daily claims

Despite assurances that a series of recalls of Serbian ambassadors has no political background, there are examples which speak to the contrary, a daily writes.

Ardi, you didn't get it. There is a difference between: 1. recognizition of a state and the membership in the UN and other international organization, 2. having diplomatic relations with other countries and 3. having embassies.

Ardi, give it a rest. Are you going to tell me that Pristina has built embassies in all those little South Pacific islands that recognized the Albanian UDI in KiM, and sent ambassadors, too? You are good for a chuckle, I must say.

oh wow, so now we know how many ambassadors Serbia has out of 193 countries, is only 65. Are we to assume that this is 1/3 of world UN recognized countries according to Serb official data? Kosova has been recognized by 98 countries and has same number of ambassadors!!!

Are you proud of that? Do you know how much ambassador missions actually eat out of your budget? In a globalized world and in an informational age you don't need to pay for ambassadors in every country that's actually stupid. Serbia needs to cut down their ambassadors because it makes no sense to have as many as they do. Albania, Myanmar...impoverished and irrelevant nations like these do not need ambassadors. Serbia has an ambassador to every European country- ok. But then also on top of that you have an ambassador to the EU, an ambassador to NATO, the OSCE, the Council of Europe.....its stupid.

But a primitive pupil of Hoxha's education system sees ambassador expenses eating out of your budget as a good thing, carry on!

However, in the last eight months more than 20 ambassadors have been recalled, which means that the replacements included almost a third of the total number of 65ambassadors that Serbia has, daily Politika writes.
